Rochdale have completed the signings of winger Glenn Middleton and full-back Charlie Tasker.
Middleton, 26, arrives from Doncaster Rovers and has agreed a one-year contract.
The former Scottish youth international had spells in the academies of Northampton Town and Norwich City before he left the latter to move to Rangers in 2018.
Middleton made 29 appearances while at Ibrox before he moved to Dundee United in 2022 and spent three years at Tannadice.
Last summer Middleton completed a move to Doncaster on a free transfer and played 35 times in League One.
Dale head coach Ian Watson said: "Glenn's got pace, experience and has performed really well in League One and in Scotland as well. He's a huge signing for us, and we're excited to get him in.
"He was one of the first players we looked at earlier in the summer, and we didn't think it was going to be possible, so big credit to the club for being able to get it done."
Dale have also added young defender Tasker from Premier League side Brighton, who has captained the club's under-21 side in the Premier League 2.
Tasker, 20, is embarking on his first loan, having only tasted professional football once - in an EFL Cup meeting with Oxford United in August 2025.
"Charlie's data from his Premier League 2 appearances is exceptional. He comes highly recommended from people that we've spoken to," said Watson.
