Showing off the pop that made him a first-round pick in the July MLB Draft, Cardinals teenaged prospect Trevor Condon hit the first home run of his professional baseball career for Class-A Palm Beach on Tuesday night.
Condon, 18, hit a letter-high 2-1 pitch over the wall in right field at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla. Condon, whose long ball left the bat at 99.7 mph, hit one of a season-high five homers for Palm Beach in an 11-0 win over Daytona. On the night, Condon was 1 for 5 with the homer and two strikeouts. He has hits in five of his six Minor League games thus far.
Inked to a $5.16 million signing bonus, Condon has played six games with Palm Beach and has slashed .280/.357/.440/.797 with a double, a homer and three RBI. He has walked three times, struck out five and stolen two bases in three tries.

— Cardinals Player Development (@CardsPlayerDev) September 2, 2026Condon, The Gatorade High School Player of the Year in Georgia, was picked No. 13 overall by the Cardinals in the first round. He was the fourth high school player drafted behind shortstop Grady Emerson (Rays), outfielder Eric Booth Jr. (Orioles) and Jared Grindlinger (Angels).
On the 20/80 scale, MLB Pipeline gave Condon a 60 hit grade, a 70 speed grade and a 60 fielding grade and they tabbed him as having the best combination of speed and hitting ability among the draft eligible players. The center fielder, who has often been compared to Cubs’ Most Valuable Player candidate Pete Crow-Armstrong because of his speed and powerful left-handed swing, is ranked as the Cardinals’ No. 6 prospect by MLB Pipeline.
Fellow 2026 draftees Dee Kennedy, Owen Henne and Jayden Lobliner also homered for Palm Beach on Tuesday night. Kennedy, a fourth-round pick out of Kansas State, also hit his first professional home run on Tuesday. In 17 games, Kennedy has batted just .129, but he has racked up two doubles, a homer, four RBI, eight runs scored and six stolen bases in seven tries.

Henne, a sixth-round selection out of Seton Hall, drilled an opposite-field grand slam to break the game open. It was his second professional homer since signing with the Cards.
Lobliner, a catcher out of the University of San Diego, homered in the third inning just before Condon’s blast. Lobliner has two homers for Palm Beach. Miguel Hernandez, an 18-year-old free-agent signee from El Tigre, Venezuela, also homered on the night as Palm Beach posted its seven shutout victory of the season.
Alexander Frias, who was acquired from the Brewers on Aug. 3 in a deal that centered around right-handed pitcher Dustin May, was 2 for 4 with a walk and a strikeout on Tuesday. The Cardinals’ No. 4-ranked prospect is slashing .253/.355/.405/.760 with two homers, four doubles, 10 RBI and 12 runs scored in 21 games. He’s also stolen six bases in seven tries.
