A medical has been booked in for today and, should all go well, he will be announced as a Sunderland signing later today.
Luis Semedo Leaves on Permanent TransferSunderland’s official website safc.com has confirmed that striker Luis Semedo has left the club to join Ligue 2 side Clermont on a permanent deal.
The 23-year-old joined the Black Cats three years ago, making 23 appearances but failed to impress and was loaned to Moreirense in Portugal last season who decided not to activate their purchase option.
Brian Brobbey Wanted But Not for SaleThe Sunderland Echo have reported that Italian side Como are interested in signing striker Brian Brobbey. However, the club have made it clear to them that the Netherlands international is not for sale and is firmly in the club’s plans for this season as they embark on their first European adventure since 1973.
Brobbey has become a fan favourite at the Stadium of Light since his move from Ajax last summer for an initial £17 million.
Adingra to Ajax?Winger Simon Adingra, who joined the Black Cats from Brighton last summer and who spent half of last season on loan at Monaco, looks set to move to Ajax, according to reports in the Sunderland Echo and the Telegraph.
Adingra, who cost Sunderland £20.5 million last year from Brighton, is set to move to Amsterdam on a season-long loan worth around £3.3 million with an option to buy of £13.7 million.
Alan Browne Expected to Return to PrestonMidfielder Alan Browne could depart Wearside and move back to Preston North End. Reports suggest that the Championship club are advancing with talks to sign their former captain on a permanent deal. However no transfer fee has been reported for the player who is in the last year of his contract at Sunderland.
