Daejon Labrayae Love wanted to be in the NFL, but his fake San Francisco 49ers dream ended with a real jail mugshot after police arrested him for fraud. Love allegedly stole around $1.3 million from women by lying that he was a rich real estate investor and a San Francisco 49ers player. The picture shows Love wearing an orange jail uniform, looking upset and tight-lipped.

“Hey Chef! I'm sure you know me. I play for the 49ers and I'm gonna be in LA next week. Everybody keeps telling me Chef Creole is who I need to book if I want some real food. I'm having some people over while I'm there and I want you to cater it.
“Don't even matter the price to me. I'm actually looking to invest in a restaurant in LA too. Been wanting to get into the restaurant business for a minute. If your food hitting like it looks on Instagram, I might have to put some money behind you and get you your own spot. I'll need security at the catering though since I play for the 49ers.”
Another screenshot of the message reads:
“What's up BigBellyButta, I'm a professional football player for the 49ers. If you want to lose more weight I can send you all my my professional football workouts you can do to lose more weight that you already have. We can start pricing at $5,000. Lmk what's up bro. Daejon Love”

The charges say Love created fake characters, pretending to be a San Francisco 49ers player or a rich property investor. Love found and contacted most of the women online using dating apps. To make people believe his lies, Love posted pictures online wearing real 49ers clothes and standing next to expensive cars.
He reportedly used a fake banking app to create screenshots of investment accounts, showing a fake balance of over $30 million. Some women borrowed money because Love told them to, but he never paid them back as promised. Love reportedly blocked the women once they lost their money or started asking too many questions, according to Complex.
Stole from more than 24 womenRetired FBI agent Lance Leising told CBS News that scammers target people by first winning their trust.
"When you have that emotional trust built in to that relationship, it's much easier to get the scam, whether it's posing as an NFL player or showing on social media all the expensive things you have, it's simply building that trust," Leising said.
Five years ago, Ayana Velasquez met Daejon Love on a dating app. Love is accused of pretending to be a pro football player and rich investor to steal $1.3 million from more than 24 women.

Government lawyers say the couple ran this scam across four states for over four years, stealing $1.3 million. The FBI believes there are more victims who have not spoken up yet, per reports.
Each criminal charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Love is currently held in a federal jail in Ada County until he is moved to Oregon.
