Whilst Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Youssouf Fofana is nearing a move to Olympique Lyonnais, RMC Sport understands that the race to sign the AC Milan midfielder remains open. Hull City are one of the clubs that could yet welcome the France international before the closure of the transfer window.
Fofana joined AC Milan from AS Monaco for a €26m transfer fee back in the summer of 2024. He went on to feature 88 times for I Rossoneri. Di Marzio understands that negotiations are now at an advanced stage between Milan and Lyon on the basis of a loan with an option to buy.
However, RMC Sport understands that there are multiple clubs interested in the former Monaco man. OL are one of them, but there is also interest from newly promoted Hull City. Fofana has yet to make a decision on his future. Those interested are proposing loan moves with obligatory purchase options.
