Voting is now open for The Jackson Sun's Jackson area high school girls athlete of the week from Aug. 24-29. The poll closes Sept. 3 at 4 p.m.

The nominees are:

Carly Williams, Lexington: Williams had 11 kills, 13 digs, 14 assists and five aces in a 25-15, 25-11, 25-21 victory over South Side.

Aspen Starkey, Gibson County: Starkey had 11 kills and three blocks in a 25-20, 25-16, 25-12 win against Halls.

Addison Kelley, Jackson Christian: Kelley had 16 assists and eight digs in a 25-13, 25-15, 25-18 victory over Harding Academy.

Brithany Guardado, JCM: Guardado scored four goals in a 6-0 win against Fayette-Ware.

Kaydynce Barksdale, McKenzie: Barksdale had two goals and an assist in a 4-4 tie versus Dyersburg.
