After the Detroit Lions released Greg Dortch in the team's roster cuts on Sunday, the veteran wide receiver and return specialist has now signed a contract to join the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.
Dortch signed a one-year, $1.4 million contract with the Lions back in March. It included $1 million guaranteed, per Spotrac.
However, after his Sunday release from the Lions, Dortch will now provide similar benefits for Buffalo in a depth role on their practice squad and scout team.

Given Dortch's ability to impact special teams and his preexisting familiarity with first-year Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing from their time in Arizona, general manager Brad Holmes' decision to part ways with the former Wake Forest product came as a surprise to some. It left Detroit with just four wide receivers on its 53-man roster and no player with return game reps.
The Lions opted to re-sign two other wide receivers to its 2026 practice squad on Monday in Tom Kennedy and Lucky Jackson.
