Gladstone on contract extension talks with Jaguars Parker Washington

As the regular season approaches, a contract extension between the Jacksonville Jaguars and wide receiver Parker Washington has yet to be agreed upon.

However, Week 1 isn't a deadline for a deal to get done. As GM James Gladstone said on Tuesday, he's more than willing to carry these conversations into the season if needed.

Last season alone, we saw the Jaguars agree to contract extensions with Jakobi Meyers and Cole Van Lanen in-season.

As the 2025 season progressed, Washington emerged as a go-to target for Lawrence. Including the postseason, Washington eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark in three of the Jaguars' final four games.

In all four contests, he was targeted by Trevor Lawrence at least nine times. Washington is versatile, able to run a variety of routes, and he adds a YAC element to the offense.

This summer, Washington seemed to build upon last season's success, regularly putting together standout performances.

"There's a ton that he showcases on a daily basis on who he is and how he operates," Gladstone said.
