SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – Next up for our Two-A-Days coverage are the Lawton-Bronson Eagles, who last year had their first season over .500 since 2020. The team recently even went winless in 2024.

The Eagles finished 2025 with an even 5-5 record, losing in the second round of the 1A playoffs to West Lyon.

One key piece in the program’s major change of direction is returning quarterback Noah Drew, who racked up 1,852 yards and 12 touchdowns through the air and led his team in rushing yards last season.

Drew and his teammates now have the opportunity to take what they learned from last season into the 2026 campaign.

Drew nodded, saying, “I feel like a lot of our guys have been working a lot and getting better every day. We are just working to do better than last year.”

“It’s really cool to see. I feel like everybody contributed in some way, whether they touched the field or not. I think everyone plays a part and helps us win games,” added Dillon Lindgren.

The first matchup for Lawton will be a Highway 20 rivalry. On August 28th, the Eagles will visit Woodbury Central to get things going. This one, though, will be a challenge for Lawton as they have not beaten the Wildcats since 2013.
