3-time Super Bowl champ Ed McCaffrey retired, then got to work

Former NFL wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl winner Ed McCaffrey stays busy these days by... diving into the granola and mustard line of work?

McCaffrey retired from the NFL as a highly decorated wide receiver, and then he decided to get right back to work. Recently, McCaffrey sat down for a conversation on the Hoodie Chroniclez Podcast to discuss everything from winning three rings and playing with NFL legends throughout his career to stories about Lawrence Taylor, being an NFL dad, and his Rocky Mountain Granola side hustle, which has grown by leaps and bounds by offering three distinct flavors, including Blueberry Lemon Sunrise, Almond Cranberry Coconut Crunch, and Golden Cinnamon Raisin.

When asked about sharing the locker room with legends such as Jerry Rice, John Elway, Deion Sanders, and what he may have taken away from them collectively, while also being coached by legendary coaches such as George Seifert, Mike Shanahan, Dan Reeves, and drafted by Bill Parcells, he said, "I feel like I learned something from every coach that I played for, and every great player that I played with."

"You take certain things from that experience and try to use them to become a better player and better person."

He was also asked about having a locker between Lawrence Taylor and Carl Banks, and they time that he thought LT was going to test him not only mentally, but physically as well the second he got to New York.

"My first day of camp, there were wooden lockers with athletic tape on it and my name was spelled wrong on the locker. I sit down, and I'm thinking, why am I between two All-Pro linebackers? I'm a receiver; what am I doing on this side of the locker room? In hindsight it was probably done on purpose."

"Lt's locker was messy, he was notoriously messy, and he talks across me and asks Carl Banks... Hey man, have you seen my cleat?" Carl says, ' No, dude, I think this guy took it!"

"They both stood up next to me in the locker, and I really did think Oh man, we are really gonna go at it like before I even get to the field and it was slightly terrifying"

Ed McCaffrey totaled 185 games played with 565 receptions for 7,422 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns.
