'Will join Celtic' - Next Signing Set to Happen Soon

With not much time left in the summer transfer window, Celtic will need to move quickly in order to get the signings that they still need to make over the line in these final few weeks.

Celtic have made four signings so far. And they are already making their presence felt. Camilo Duran scored a brace against LASK to put Celtic on the verge of Champions League qualification. Mika Baur put in a strong performance on the night as well, while Kasper Hogh was tidy with his link-up play. Haissem Hassan came on as a substitute.

So, all four were involved. But there are still areas where Celtic still lack depth. These need to be addressed over the next weeks in the transfer market.

One area that definitely needs strengthening is left-back. Kieran Tierney is going to be the starter there. But there is no real cover for him following the departure of Marcelo Saracchi.

Liam Scales has been filling that role for the time being but Celtic need a specialist. And it looks like one is not far away from being signed.

Celtic close to left-back signing

According to CeltsAreHere, Landon Emenalo suffered a knock in training with Chelsea. Once that issue is resolved, he will join Celtic on loan. There is no option to buy in the deal because of how highly he is rated by the Blues and their new manager, Xabi Alonso.

The knock picked up in training is not thought to be serious. Celtic are not concerned that the issue will derail the loan move.

This will settle fears that the move was on the verge of collapse due to Emenalo's injury. Let's see how long it takes for the move to be completed. Until then, it looks like Scales will be the one to continue to provide backup to Tierney.

Celtic Considering Move for Former Manchester City PlayerCeltic are reportedly considering a move for the former Manchester City player, who is a full Ireland international now.Does signing Emenalo make sense?

Signing Emenalo is certainly an interesting choice. Obviously, there is no doubt that he is a talented youngster.

Celtic have had plenty of talented youngsters of their own who they have failed to develop though. And with no option to buy in the loan deal, they will basically be taking on those duties for a year.

Is Emenalo at a point in his career where he can make an impact for a club like Celtic? It is worth pointing out that the youngster has not even played a single senior game yet.
