Minnesota United was putting the final touches on a 5-1 blowout win over the Earthquakes on Saturday when the MLS match was interrupted by cuteness.
“Oh, there’s a baby on the field,” Apple TV commentator Kyndra de St. Aubin said from PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif.
A toddler had escaped seats along the sideline and wandered onto the field in the 91st minute, with a stadium staff member shown picking up the smiling kid near the 18-yard box and delivering him back to an adult. A woman who grabbed him appeared to say, “I’m so sorry.”

With the game all but over, Loons head coach Cameron Knowles wondered what the commotion was and looked away to see it.
“Oh, man, it’s a little bit too early to get a lifetime ban from a stadium,” Knowles joked.
The MNUFC social media team also had some fun with it, sharing a post-mach graphic headlined: “Like talking money for a baby.”
