Sept. 4: at Stanford Cardinal, 9 p.m., ESPN
The Buzz: Miami begins its 2026 season a long way from home. This will be the second time the Hurricanes have ever faced the Cardinal and the first time Miami has ever played at Stanford Stadium. (UM beat Stanford at home last year). Stanford is not expected to be a conference contender in its first year under Tavita Pritchard, but a long road trip with a late start on the West Coast makes the season opener a little tougher.
Sept. 10: vs. Florida A&M, 8 p.m., ACC Network
The Buzz: The Hurricanes return to Hard Rock Stadium for the first time since the national championship to face a considerably easier opponent. Miami faces FCS Florida A&M for the 13th time. UM has not lost to FAMU since their first matchup back in 1979.
Sept. 18: at Wake Forest, 7:30 p.m., ESPN
The Buzz: Miami goes back on the road to face an intriguing Wake Forest squad that is coming off a 9-4 season. The Demon Deacons had wins over SMU, Virginia and Mississippi State last year. The Hurricanes have an eight-game winning streak against the Demon Deacons, dating back to 1969.
Sept. 26: vs. Central Michigan, 6:30 p.m, The CW
The Buzz: The Hurricanes’ first Saturday game is against the Chippewas. Central Michigan went 7-6 last year. Miami has played Central Michigan once, beating CMU in 2019.
Oct. 3: at Clemson, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: The Hurricanes’ biggest test in the first half of the season comes on the road at Clemson. Miami has not beaten Clemson on the road since 2010. The Tigers are coming off a 7-6 season, which was their worst campaign since 2010. Nevertheless, this could be a tough matchup.
Oct. 17: vs. Florida State, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: UM is on a two-game winning streak against its biggest rival. The Seminoles had a disappointing 2025 season, ending the year with a 5-7 record. Florida State, in its seventh season under Mike Norvell, is looking for a big improvement.
Oct. 24: vs. Pittsburgh, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: Miami will be honoring its 2001 national title team the day it plays the Panthers. The Hurricanes rolled Pitt last season and have won five of their last six matchups against Pittsburgh.
Oct. 31: at North Carolina, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: The Tar Heels have been a thorn in the Hurricanes’ side recently, and North Carolina’s Kenan Memorial Stadium has been a house of horrors. UM has lost five straight to UNC and has lost its last three games in Chapel Hill by a combined 16 points. The Hurricanes have a good chance to reverse that streak this year.
Nov. 4: at Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m., NBC
The Buzz: The biggest game of the year for the Hurricanes is a rematch of last year’s thriller in Miami Gardens. UM’s win ultimately pushed them into the playoffs at the expense of the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame will certainly be looking for some payback on its home field.
Nov. 14: vs. Duke, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: Speaking of payback, the Blue Devils might be out for some revenge after the Hurricanes poached star quarterback Darian Mensah and wide receiver Cooper Barkate. The pair of offensive standouts helped lead former UM coach Manny Diaz and Duke to the ACC title last year.
Nov. 21: vs. Virginia Tech, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: Virginia Tech has a new head coach, former Penn State coach James Franklin. As a result, the Hokies have an overhauled roster, led by former Penn State quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer. Virginia Tech will likely be better than the struggling team UM beat in Blacksburg last year, but how much better is still unknown.
Nov. 28: vs. Boston College, kickoff time TBD, TV network TBD
The Buzz: Miami closes out the season with Boston College, which is projected to be one of the worst teams in the conference. The Hurricanes have not hosted the Eagles in Miami Gardens since 2011.
