The Pittsburgh Steelers have Aaron Rodgers back. That should be enough to get this franchise pumped for this upcoming season. Sure, Rodgers isn't the long-term solution for this team at quarterback. But, having a guy heading up the offense who could really be a coach at this point is a good thing.
So, expectations are high for the Steelers. They were No. 1 in the AFC. Okay, they only had a 10-7 record, but they were still No. 1.
Will they repeat that success in 2026 and then some? Not everyone thinks it will happen.

"The first full week of the NFL preseason is another checkpoint on the offseason calendar. Adjust your regular-season expectations accordingly," he states in the piece.
For the Steelers, he has them down to No. 3 in their division, with the Baltimore Ravens rebounding this season. That's not great news for Rodgers and company.
First, he looks at the Steelers hiring head coach Mike McCarthy to replace Mike Tomlin. "In 18 seasons, McCarthy's teams won 61% of their games," he says. "The Steelers won't bottom out on his watch, though there's some concern about a roster with several key players older than 30."
He adds, "At 42, Aaron Rodgers can still perform at a high level, but he needs more from his defense, which ranked 17th in scoring and 26th in total yards last season. Newcomers Jamel Dean and Jaquan Brisker must shore up the secondary."
So, yes, there are reasons to be concerned about the Steelers' roster in 2026. But, there are also reasons to hope, like Rodgers and McCarthy, who have won a Super Bowl together, being back together.
