After a string of impressive performances, 20-year-old Eisakhil received his maiden call-up to the Afghan national side after he was named as a part of squad for the Asian Games 2026. The tournament will be played between September 24 and October 3 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Darwish Rasooli to lead the team, while a couple of experienced players in the form of Najibullah Zadran and Karim Janat. The remaining team consists of youngsters, who have performed in the Sphageeza Cricket League 2026.
While Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored in the 2026 edition of the league, Mohammad Akram, who notched up 339 runs across eight innings with a hundred and two fifties, has been rewarded for his domestic performance. In the same tournament, Eisakhil managed 136 runs in eight innings with a solitary fifty.
Abdollah Ahmadzai, who has represented Afghanistan in nine T20Is, has also been picked. He has managed 13 wickets so far. Ahmadzai was the fourth-highest wicket-taker for his side in the Sphageeza Cricket League 2026 with nine wickets to his name.
Eisakhil, who earned his maiden call-up, made a striking impact in the 2026 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the Noakhali Express. In just three games, he has scored 224 runs, comprising a 107* and a fifty, striking at a healthy 147.56.
Having received his Noakhali Express cap from his father, Mohammad Nabi, Eisakhil impressed on debut with a score of 92, also registering a 54-run stand with Nabi.
