A.J. Brown has been one of the big talking points this offseason as he prepares for the 2026 season with the New England Patriots.
Joint practice against his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, has naturally put even more of the spotlight on the 29-year-old wide receiver.
Day one of joint practice against the Eagles saw cornerback Quinyon Mitchell enjoy some positive reps against Brown.
However, Thursday’s session was a completely different story, with Brown getting the better of his former teammate.
As tensions were eased off the field between Brown and his former quarterback, the wide receiver showed the Eagles exactly what they were set to miss out on this season.

Having seen Mitchell come out on top on Wednesday, Brown took his game to another level on Thursday to show out in New England.
Brown beat his former teammate, Mitchell, for three touchdowns during the two-on-two drills at practice.
One of the plays that sent the Patriots fans wild saw Brown lose Mitchell with a quick stutter-step movement before snagging the ball with one hand.
A dominant WR1 is exactly what Drake Maye required after falling short last season in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.
Brown is certainly proving himself to be the perfect fit for Mike Vrabel and Maye in the early stages of this summer’s training camp.
However, the 29-year-old will not feature in Saturday’s preseason game between the Patriots and the Eagles.
Having gone toe-to-toe with Christian Gonzalez throughout camp, facing another quality back like Mitchell will only help to improve Brown in the lead-up to the new season.
