With the Miami Heat making a big move for Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2026 offseason, it looks like they are ready to be quite competitive. Head coach Erik Spoelstra now has one of the most dangerous frontcourts in the league with the combination of Bam Adebayo and Antetokounmpo.

As a recent Hall of Famer, Amar'e Stoudemire is back in the spotlight. Back in the 2000s, he was one of the most impressive big men in the league. He was a dominant figure, especially in the pick-and-roll, so he knows quite well how to stand out as a big man who can dominate the paint just like Antetokounmpo.

For the longest time, Giannis has been the best power forward in the game. With his physicality, he is one of the toughest players to guard. He can bump opponents, but he is still quite strong, so he gets to score the ball in the paint. Defensively, he is also superb with his point-of-attack versatility and his rim protection.

That is why the Heat have such a dangerous frontcourt ahead of the 2026-27 season. He and Adebayo are two of the league's best defenders, but at the same time, they also have the potential to break out as the top scorers for a Heat offense that desperately needs a boost.

Stoudemire is a big fan of what he is seeing from Antetokounmpo. That means a great deal for Miami because Amar'e was impressive back in the day, and now, he is giving significant praise for the two-time MVP ahead of his maiden campaign in Miami.

" I don’t see a lot of guys in today’s game that are taking off on guys and applying dominance. Hopefully we can find someone that does that. Giannis has that similar game when he attacks the rim. It’s fun to watch, but I haven’t really seen a lot of it," Stoudemire said about the Heat ahead of his Hall of Fame induction.

It is a big deal to have this kind of praise for the Heat because they are not seen as the top team based on the offseason. The Philadelphia 76ers have garnered most of the spotlight, and rightfully so. However, that should not mean that the Heat should be ignored for their offseason moves.
