Athletes from Revere and Norton high schools won the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 10-16.
Amrita Deo is the girls winner and Braden Gunter wins for the boys. Deo, a golfer for Revere, received 54.49% of the votes cast. Gunter, a golfer for Norton, received 86.46% of the votes cast.
A total 9,060 votes were cast overall. Look for more on each athlete below.

Amrita Deo, Revere golfShot a 79 to earn the medalist honor in the first Suburban League American Conference tournament at Good Park Golf Course in Akron. Revere finished first in the team standings.
Braden Gunter, Norton golfShot a 69 to win medalist honors at the Metro Athletic Conference tournament at Good Park Golf Course in Akron. Norton finished fifth in the team standings.
