Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Beck honored by PFF

The Arizona Cardinals have played in two preseason games so far, and rookie quarterback Carson Beck missed their 27-14 preseason win over the Las Vegas Raiders, but he was honored by PFF for having one of the best rookie performances through the first week of the preseason.

Beck was given the sixth-highest grade among all rookies at 91.7.

Beck missed the Cardinals’ second preseason game, but his performance in the Hall of Fame Game still has him as the NFL’s highest-graded quarterback this preseason. Against the Panthers, he went 15-of-19 for 188 yards and a touchdown, recording three big-time throws and no turnover-worthy plays.

Beck is tops among all quarterbacks in the preseason.

The Cardinals played in the Hall of Fame Game, giving them one extra preseason contest. Beck injured his ribs in that game, but his play gave Cardinals fans hope for the potential young franchise quarterback of the future.

PFF grades are somewhat mysterious, but they do give one metric of the quality of their play, and Beck did play well in his only preseason action so far.

We will hopefully see him again in at least one of the two final preseason games.
