How promising is the Arizona Cardinals' future? According to ESPN's future power rankings, it isn't very promising.
Looking ahead to the 2027-2029 seasons and grading teams by their situations at quarterback, the rest of the roster, their front office and their coaching staff, the Cardinals come in dead last at No. 32.
Their quarterback situation is their lowest percentage at 63, which falls into the very bad range. All other categories range from 70.75 to 72.75, barely average.
Yes, the Cardinals have some young offensive talent in running back Jeremiyah Love, tight end Trey McBride and receivers Michael Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. However, the QB situation dampens that excitement. Their fortunes improve significantly if they land a top rookie quarterback in 2027 or if Carson Beck proves to be a franchise guy.
Defensively, Walter Nolen and Will Johnson are the only young guys to build with. Josh Sweat and Budda Baker are aging.
It is hard to argue against the last-place ranking.
