Mikel Arteta has warned there is plenty more to come from Arsenal’s established stars this season after they began their Premier League title defence with a convincing victory over Coventry.

A week after dispatching Manchester City by the same scoreline in last week’s Community Shield, goals from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard sealed a comfortable victory for the champions. Arsenal, who unveiled their new £55m signing Ezri Konsa before kick-off, have now won 18 of their past 19 games against newly promoted teams and never looked like stumbling against Frank Lampard’s side.
