BVB improved after halftime and Fabio Silva pulled one back in the 75th minute, but Bayern Munich remained composed under pressure.
Ultimately, the statistics backed up what the eye test showed — Bayern Munich was the better side and deserved their first trophy of the season.

If not for a missed chance by Maximilian Beier late in the game, the match could have landed in a draw and went on to penalties.
