Since making the move from the English Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, Harry Kane has simply lived up to the billing in every way imaginable. This was clear from the get-go, when the Englishman recorded 56 goal involvements in his first season in Bavaria, with 44 of those being his own shots into the back of the net.
Simply put, he was unstoppable.
This has carried through his last two seasons, recording 118 goal involvements across all competitions in that time period, helping the German giants reclaim their spot at the top of the Bundesliga table, earning Kane the first team trophy of his career, as well as making some late-stage runs in the Champions League, falling in the Semi-Finals of the 2025-26 iteration to the eventual winners, Paris Saint-Germain.

— FC Bayern Türkiye (@FCBayernTurkish) August 18, 2026Bayern Munich to begin renewal talks with KaneHowever, there's one thing no one has wanted to look at during this great run by the Englishman: his contract only runs through the 2026-27 campaign, meaning he's heading into the last year of the original deal he signed when he moved from North London.
But luckily for the Bayern faithful, the team's executives are slated to begin talks with their star forward in the near future, according to a recent report by German outlet BLD.
"The England star's contract only runs until the summer of 2027. Talks about an extension are expected to begin soon..." writes BLD's Johannes Bernese and Morena Parrinello, having been translated from German to English. "BILD has learned that Kane has already made it clear to the Bayern bosses that he wants to continue his journey with the record champions and is ready to extend his contract (currently until 2027)."
Kane, who is 33 years old, hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, as discussed previously, so his renewal talks with the German side will be something to keep an eye on as he enters what could be one of the last chapters of his illustrious career.
