BELLEVUE - Vincent Sberna started a turnover parade when he recovered a muffed punt in the first quarter.

Konner Dauch, Justin Bucher, Maddex Bailey and Ike Brown each added an interception for Bellevue in a 42-0 victory over visiting Clyde.

"Get that (first) turnover out of the way," Dauch said. "Early in the game, it changes momentum. Get the ofense rolling."

Bucher returned his first career interception about 25 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Bucher and Bailey are sophomores.

"I was pressed up," he said. "I bailed late to give the quarterback a different read. I knew it was coming. I backpedaled and jumped it. It means the work is paying off."

A receiver came at Brown vertically and Brown grabbed a sailing pass.

"He sat on a stop route," Brown said of Bailey. "They didn't see him."

Dauch caught a touchdown pass from Brown in he second quarter, after Bellevue registered a safety to open the scoring. Evan Bova ran in from 16 yards for a touchdown and Brown added a rushing score in the third quarter.

"We were trying for a first down," Brown said of Bova's touchdown. "The offensive line got great blocks."

Bova and Landon Sarter each added one score on the ground in the fourth quarter.

"It's always fun to play Clyde in the season opener," Brown said. "Our team is so close."
