Bellinger 1-for-3 in first rehab assignment

MOOSIC, PA(WBRE/WYOU)-- 2026 All-Star Game MVP Cody Bellinger finished the night 1-for-3 from the plate in his first rehab assignment with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The New York Yankees outfielder played DH, hitting second in the SWB lineup.

Bellinger singled in the first inning to right field. He then later flied out in the bottom of the third inning, also to right. Bellinger's last at bat came in the bottom of the fifth. The Bronx Bomber popped out to the shortstop.

Bellinger's single in the first was one of only four hits on the night from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Shortstop Anthony Volpe added one of the other three, homering in the fifth inning and bringing in Oswaldo Cabrera. The 2-0 lead held until the end of the night, giving SWB the shutout win.
