The Cincinnati Bengals have signed free agent cornerback Matthew McDoom, the team announced on Saturday.

The team also announced that cornerback Ceyair Wright has left the team to pursue other opportunities. He will be placed on the exempt/left squad list and will not count against the 90-man roster.

McDoom, weighing in at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, is a rookie out of the University of Cincinnati. He originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a college free agent in May and was waived on August 8. He played his first three college seasons at Coastal Carolina before transferring to Cincinnati for the 2025 campaign. He totaled four interceptions and 26 pass deflections across those four seasons.

As for Wright, he was signed this offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska following the 2026 NFL Draft. He was facing an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster, so this isn’t a big setback for the Bengals’ defensive back room.
