Manchester United will begin their new Premier League campaign with a trip to Hull City on Saturday.
In a boost, first-choice striker Benjamin Sesko has trained at Carrington on Tuesday morning ahead of the away fixture.
Sesko hasn’t played for United since picking up a shin injury in the 3-2 victory over Liverpool in early May.
The 23-year-old missed the whole pre-season as he continued recovering from his injury.
However, the striker has returned to training and could be available for selection against Hull.
Manager Michael Carrick may stick with Bryan Mbeumo to lead the attack. Sesko could instead be featured off the bench in the second half.
Matthijs de Ligt also took part in the training, although the Dutchman is expected to miss the opening few matches as he hasn’t fully recovered yet.
Mason Mount continued to be absent after picking up a knock in the friendly against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
Promising first seasonSesko joined the Red Devils last summer from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £73.7.
He initially struggled to adapt to the Premier League’s pace and intensity, scoring just two league goals during the first-half of the campaign.
But Sesko regained his form during the latter stages as he ended the season with 12 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
The Slovenia international will look to build on a promising first year at Old Trafford in 2026-27.
