Scottie Scheffler got a whole lot richer with his victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Thanks to the PGA Tour’s restructured FedExCup bonus payout, Scheffler secured another $23 million.
With FedExCup points carrying over from the regular season and through the first playoff event, the PGA Tour pays out nearly $100,000,000 in bonus money after the second postseason tournament.
Scheffler topped the points list for the regular season. And after his victory in Memphis, Tennessee, he's a mathematical lock to be No. 1 after the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club.
It’s quite the haul over the last two weeks for the world’s best:
- $10 million bonus for leading the regular-season points list
- $3.6 million in official earnings for winning the FedEx St. Jude
- $23 million bonus for (ultimately) leading in FEC points after second playoff event
While Scheffler has secured the lion’s share of the FEC bonus pool, there are tens of millions more to be played for, including cash and deferments. Players who finished 51-125 in points each earned from $195,000 to $100,000. Here’s a breakdown of the bonus-pool payout for the top 50:
