There were a lot of questions surrounding Bo Bryan before the Battle Ground Academy (TN) senior quarterback made his senior season debut on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The son of country music star Luke Bryan, Bo spent the last three seasons serving as a backup to former BGA standout and Mr. Football winner Kaedyn Marable.
With Marable now graduated and at Columbia, just how would Bo Bryan fair in making his first start on the road down in Alabama at St. Michael Catholic on a nationally televised game on ESPN2?
The short answer: He'd do just fine.
Bryan led the Wildcats to a dominant 41-18 victory, completing 16 of his 21 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns. He led the Wildcats to scoring drives on three of their first four drives.

"This is nothing but a dream come true and was a lot of fun to play with these guys behind me," Bo Bryan told ESPN sideline reporter Ashley Stroehlein in the postgame interview. "Nothing here would have been accomplished without them, our trainers or coaches."
When Bryan wanted big plays, he found four-star junior Maximus Curry. Curry only had four receptions, but he had touchdown receptions on two of those catches, scoring from 78 yards out to close the half and from 80 yards out midway through the fourth quarter.
It didn't take Bo long to start connecting with 2029 five-star receiver Maddox Porter either.
He completed all four of his passes on BGA's opening drive to Porter, including a 40-yard touchdown that put BGA up by one early. Porter would be his favorite target throughout the day as they connected nine times for 150 yards and that 40-yard touchdown.
"This means a lot to be on national television and show everyone that Tennessee high school football is really like that," Porter said. "We've been going through practice like this, so I knew we'd come out here and get it done."
