Bridgewater is hoping to make its first-ever appearance in the Little League World Series last a little longer.
Having lost its opening game in walk-off fashion earlier this week, Bridgewater will try to stave off elimination when it plays Great Lakes Region champ Hamilton (Ohio) on Saturday, Aug. 22 (3 p.m., ESPN) at Howard J Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennslyvania.
Bridgewater, the New England Region champ, fell to Metro champ Bayonne (New Jersey), 2-1, on Wednesday, Aug. 19 as Mason Rincon hit a tiebreaking solo home run to left-center field in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Bridgewater will be attempting to follow in the footsteps of Braintree, last year's New England entrant in the tournament. Braintree dropped its opener at the 2025 Little League World Series but bounced back to win its second game.
