Browns activate DT Maliek Collins

The Browns have not had defensive tackle Maliek Collins at practice this summer, but that is set to change.

The team announced that they have activated Collins from the physically unable to perform list on Monday morning. Collins suffered a quad injury in Week 13 last season and has been working his way back to full health.

Collins signed a two-year deal with the team last year and had 25 tackles, 6.5 sacks and a fumble recovery prior to his injury. He made 136 appearances for the 49ers, Texans, Raiders and Cowboys before joining the Browns.

The Browns also announced that they have waived tight end Dea'Quan Wright and cornerback Tyron Herring. Herring was cut off of the team's injured reserve list.
