CHICAGO ― Deshaun Watson made a game appearance for the Cleveland Browns for the first time since his 2024 Achills tear.
Watson started the Browns' Aug. 15 preseason opener at the Chicago Bears. It marked the first time he had played in a game of any kind since Oct. 20, 2024, when he tore his Achilles against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 10-year veteran is battling Shedeur Sanders for the Browns' starting job. Sanders will follow Watson in Chicago, then the roles will reverse for the second preseason game at home against the Buffalo Bills.
