Bryce Harper leans into Field of Dreams game with corn-themed gear

DYERSVILLE — Bryce Harper brought his signature style to Iowa.

The Philadelphia Phillies' superstar right fielder walked onto the field decked out in corn-themed gear, a fitting look to play a Major League Baseball game at a stadium surrounded by corn fields in northeast Iowa.

Harper wore a right-arm sleeve that mimicked corn and had the phrase "It Has The Juice!" — homage to a viral video from 2022 featuring a child named Tariq, who also made an appearance at the Aug. 13 game — written up the side.

His yellow and white batting gloves featured the same corn print.

He wore custom yellow cleats with green bottoms that resembled a corn stalk, and he went up to bat with his very own "corn bat," as he described it to Lauren Shehadi on the Netflix broadcast — dark green on one side, yellow corn kernels on the other, with melted butter featuring Harper's initials at the bottom of the barrel.

This isn't the first time that Harper has pulled out all the stops for a special event. He wore custom Phillie Phanatic cleats when he made his Philadelphia debut in 2019.
