When LIV Golf launched in 2022, there was plenty of skepticism about whether the Saudi-backed league would ever be able to compete with the PGA Tour. Fast forward to 2026, and the answer was a resounding no.
Bryson DeChambeau appeared to come to that realization.
LIV Golf — which lost its funding from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund earlier this year — played its final tournament of the year at The Club at Chatham Hills on Sunday. And with the end of the season, it remains to be seen whether the league will ever return in a second iteration.
DeChambeau's Instagram post on Monday suggested plenty of pessimism about those odds.
