Sunday's highly-anticipated matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky saw the teams battle back and forth in the first half, after which Chicago had a 51-50 lead.
Much of the hype centered on the rematch between Chicago's DiJonai Carrington and Indiana's Sophie Cunningham after their confrontation during a game on Aug. 8. That day, Carrington was ejected after a collision at the basket with Cunningham; referees assessed Carrington a Flagrant 2 foul, and her night ended after only three minutes.
Midway through the second quarter, Carrington was isolated against Caitlin Clark, who stepped back and drilled a 3-pointer over her.

— Underdog WNBA (@UnderdogWNBA) August 23, 2026Chicago and Indiana have not been competitive rivals since Clark entered the league, despite the geographical proximity between them.
