Caitlin Clark recorded her 10th double-double of the WNBA season on Tuesday. The Indiana Fever superstar dropped 22 points and 10 assists against the New York Liberty, helping her team secure its second straight win. Her strong performance once again rewrote the history books.
Clark’s 29th 20-plus point, 10-plus assist game pushed her past league legend Sue Bird on the all-time list among guards. What’s more impressive is the 24-year-old reached the feat in only 82 career games compared to Bird’s 580.

The Fever announced Clark’s achievement on X on Wednesday. She is now third, just two behind second place.
The three-time All-Star has a chance to overtake Courtney Williams in the coming games. Clark has four double-doubles in her last five outings. However, her scoring and playmaking will be tested as Indiana is set to face three teams in the top eight of the standings in its next five matchups. The schedule includes two clashes with the Dallas Wings, along with a game versus the Atlanta Dream.

She is producing these numbers despite playing a career-low 30.4 minutes per game.
The Iowa Hawkeyes product continues to deal with a lingering back issue but is playing through it. She often appears on the team’s injury report with a probable tag. Stephanie White and her staff are monitoring her minutes to keep her healthy for the playoffs.
Clark missed the entire postseason last year due to quad, groin and ankle injuries. The Fever still reached the second round; however, they are hoping to contend for the title this season. They are 21-12 and currently fourth in the standings.
