Callaway Golf deleted social media posts promoting a new driver that was developed in collaboration with Good Good Golf late Friday evening after negative backlash on X.
In the video, which you can see below, ominous music plays and a close-up shot of a driver in someone's backswing appears, with "Good Good Studios presents: The Driver" appearing on the screen. Then, Good Good's Garrett Clark sees a woman reaching for his driver, runs at her and shoves her to the ground. Standing over her, he threatens her by saying, “Do not touch my new driver.”
Ah man, someone must have accidentally deleted the post. Don’t worry Good Good, I’ll reupload your @CallawayGolf ad! pic.twitter.com/I4GwzBmUOJ
— Jay Don Takes (@Skulledwedge) August 22, 2026While Callaway deleted the social media post, and it does not appear on Good Good's social media accounts, the video spread quickly on X, with most people shocked by what they saw.
It just takes so many stupid decisions for this to make it into the world, it’s almost breathtaking that no one along the way was like “hand up, not trying to be uncool, but is there a better way to sell this driver?” https://t.co/1a63RuyDae

— Gary Treeman (@PurpyNFL) August 22, 2026Golfweek contacted Callaway Golf on Saturday morning to ask for comment regarding the video and social media post, and has yet to get an answer from the brand. When Callaway or Good Good do release an official statement, this story will be updated and it will be included here.
Callaway Golf, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CALY ($15.89), is based in Carlsbad, California, and is one of the largest golf equipment brands in the world. Good Good Golf is one of the largest golf content-creating organizations on YouTube and social media. It features eight men and four women who compete in competitions and challenges. In 2025, it raised $45 million in investment capital from an investor group that includes Creator Sports Capital, Manhattan West, Sunflower Studios, and Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions. Today, the brand has grown to include made-for-television events, apparel releases and co-branded merchandise sales.
The PGA Tour and Good Good Golf announced earlier this year that a new Tour event, the Good Good Championship, will debut in November during the FedExCup Fall at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s Fazio Canyons Course in Austin, Texas.
Callaway and Good Good Golf began a partnership in 2023.
