SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Calvary Day and Hilton Head Christian Academy football teams picked up Thursday night wins.
Calvary Day, the No. 1 ranked team in the Private 2A-4A classification, traveled down to Brunswick to face Glynn Academy.
The Private Class state runners-up began the game slow. The Cavs trailed 22-7 in the second quarter, before rattling off 42 unanswered points for a 49-22 victory.
In the Lowcountry, Hilton Head Christian did not have any trouble with Beaufort Academy.
The Eagles, playing their second game of the season, defeated Beaufort in their campaign debut, 41-0.
