Cam Edwards named to Doak Walker Award Watchlist

Michigan State football running back Cam Edwards is garnering a ton of attention throughout fall camp. The UConn transfer was praised by Pat Fitzgerald on Monday after practice, and now has found himself getting more recognition.

Edwards has been named to the Doak Walker Award Watchlist. Edwards would be the second Doak Walker Award winner in Michigan State history, after Kenneth Walker won the award in 2021.

The UConn transfer is almost assuredly going to be RB1 for the Spartans, and comes in having rushed for 2,690 yards in his college career.
