The Illinois football season is less than two weeks away, which means it is prediction season. Once again, your beloved Can't Wait For Saturday will host a weekly picking contest for the Illinois games.
It has been a minute, so here are the particulars:
1. Come up with a guess for the Illinois game, including the winner and scores for both teams. Example: Illinois 42, UAB 14.
2. Email your picks to . You can make the process easier by including your prediction on the subject line. It really helps.
3. Include your name and where you live now. If you are an Illinois alum include that too. And any other comments are always welcome and may be part of the story if you win. Hopefully not mean stuff about me, but if it is funny I will use it.
4, (Not sure why I numbered these. Oh, well) Anyone who nails the exact score for both teams wins a $50 Papa Del's gift card. It has happened. If there are no exact matches, all the winners will go into a drawing at the end of the season.
Each week, I will announce the winner in this space along with a call for the next week's picks.
There have been many entries since I started doing this and I really appreciate the participation.
