Cavan Sullivan's red card brawl spills into tunnel as Miami player appears to be held back

Philadelphia Union and highly touted USMNT prospect, midfielder Cavan Sullivan, picked up a red card during a fiery 2-2 draw against Lionel Messi and Inter Miami on Wednesday night. Tensions had been escalating throughout the match, but late on, Miami's Ian Fray appeared to try to step over Sullivan's older brother, Quinn, who then tackled him. Sullivan immediately stepped in to defend his brother, getting into it with Miami midfielder Yannick Bright.

Both Sullivan and Bright were shown red cards and ejected, as it appeared the latter made contact with his fist to Sullivan's face. However, that may have just been the start of the heated altercation between the two. Post-red-card footage appeared to show Bright being restrained by staff in the tunnel, as Bright seemingly went toward the area where Sullivan had gone after exiting, prompting at least one staff member to run over and keep things from escalating, along with others.

Here's a look at the initial incident and what transpired on the field:

Jimmy King of the Philly Sports Network posted a clip from the broadcast of Sullivan and Bright leaving the field, which appeared to show Bright being restrained.

For The Win has reached out to the Philadelphia Union for comment on the situation, and we'll update as soon as there is any additional information.

Kind of embarrassing for Bright and Miami, in my opinion
