The UEFA Champions League playoff round wraps up this week, starting with three second-leg matches Tuesday with the aggregate winners advancing to the 36-team league phase.
The day’s slate gets underway in Azerbaijan with Sabah FK facing Hapoel Be’er Sheva, the Israeli side that won 2-1 in the first leg last week. At 3 p.m ET, Norway’s Bodø/Glimt hosts Dutch club NEC Nijmegen and Scottish giant Celtic takes a 3-0 aggregate lead to face Austria’s LASK.
Bodø/Glimt was a Cinderella in last year’s tournament, notching shock wins over Manchester City and Atletico Madrid before eliminating Inter to reach the round of 16.
Three more matchups will be decided on Wednesday with the league phase draw scheduled for Thursday in Nyon, Switzerland. The first round of matches is set for Sept. 8-10 across the continent. Each club plays four home games and four on the road running through January 2027.
