Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has been given permission to take a medical with Crystal Palace ahead of a loan there.

Chelsea’s summer is coming to a head in these final weeks of the window, with tons of business still to do.
The Blues are going to have to race through a lot of sales and outgoing loans, and each one they tick off is significant. That’s why they will be desperate to see Axel Disasi’s loan to Crystal Palace done after dragging on for so long.
Nizaar Kinsella says that the Frenchman has been given permission to take his medical with Palace, and we assume that will happen today. It’s a season-long loan move, and Kinsella also reports that talks are still ongoing about the size of the loan fee, although there is the “expectation that Chelsea and Palace will ultimately come to a full agreement.”

Disasi has been up for sale for the last two years, and only managing to loan him once again will be a big disappointment.
It just means Chelsea will be back in the same situation a year from now. Still, at least clearing this deal out of the immediately in tray means more focus can be switched to other deals.
