Natasha Cloud got into it with Enes Kanter at a Chicago Sky game recently. And while the former NBA player has made his point of view clear, Cloud also had a message of her own for trans people.
The WNBA controversy around transgender athletes shows no signs of abating. Things have only escalated in the past week with former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom not backing down.
Kanter has been incredibly vocal about wanting to play in the W, although the league has said that he, and others like him, are ineligible.
Matters came to a head when he attended the recent game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky. He got into it with WNBA star Natasha Cloud, who has made her stance on the situation clear since.

Now, the stars are also making their voices heard. After her tiff with Kanter during the game, Cloud took to social media to share her message.
“To every trans kid/person, You are a part of MY community & tribe. You belong. You’re loved. You’re seen. You’re perfect as you are & you will always be protected by me,” read the Sky star’s message.
As the matter continues to grow bigger, players and supporters on either side of the issue are likely to get louder. Kanter is already doing the media rounds in the aftermath.
The hope remains that focus can return to the game on the court. With an exciting postseason on the horizon, the entire controversy is only distracting from basketball, which isn’t ideal.
