Gonzalez is now back in training with the Patriots ahead of the new season getting underway following an injury problem.

Now, he has spoken about his contract situation ahead of their next pre-season match against the Cleveland Browns.

When doing so, as per the New York Post, Gonzalez initially said: “I’m not going to get into that. I’m out here now. So it is what it is.”

However, he then went on to express his frustration at the situation, saying: “It’s frustrating. But I’m focused on the season. I’m focused on here now and doing what I have to do. I’m out here to compete and get better.”

The Patriots take on the Cleveland Browns on Thursday evening in what will be their final pre-season match.

They will then kick off their proper campaign on September 9 against the Seattle Seahawks.
