Colts Training Camp ‘Day 12’: Quick Hits

The Indianapolis Colts were back at it Sunday for another late afternoon, early evening practice at Grand Park. With humid conditions, but largely no rain, it was held outdoors. Hopefully, everyone’s stayed safe throughout the state with the intense flooding. Let’s get to it!

Colts Defense Gets Better of Offense Again

Not a banner day for #Colts QB Daniel Jones. Just threw back-to-back interceptions in 11-on-11.

First one was tipped and then picked off by CB Mekhi Blackmon. Second one was an underthrown deep ball that was picked off by FS Cam Bynum.

Outside of a deep touchdown connection between Daniel Jones to Ashton Dulin to kick things off, the #Colts offense struggled in 7-on-7 play.

Regardless of which quarterback or unit, Lou Anarumo’s passing defense proved to be too much to handle. Multiple coverage sacks and PBUs.

Anthony Richardson and the #Colts second-team offense really struggled in their first 11-on-11 session:

– WR Deion Burks fumbled the jet sweep exchange
– poor showing on the ground, Bryce Boettcher shines
– Underthrown ball hauled in by CB Jaylon Jones
– zero completions overall

#Colts HC Shane Steichen, asked if he expects WR Alec Pierce (left ankle surgery recovery) to return in their joint practices with the #Falcons this week.
