On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Colts unveiled their ‘Anvil Strike’ rivalry jersey, which will fittingly debut against their AFC South rival Houston Texans on Sunday, September 27th, at Lucas Oil Stadium:

— Indianapolis Colts (@Colts) August 25, 2026The new Nike collaborated jerseys feature the Colts themed colors of: black, “anvil black,” and “speed blue,” with among other things, boast metallic blue helmets, white and silver horseshoes, and a black face mask—with classic Indy numbers deployed on an “anvil steel” jersey.
While in my opinion, these are an upgrade to the Colts’ “Indiana Night” jerseys of recent year past, which also incorporated the use of an unofficial team color black—particularly on the helmets, I’m not sure they push the needle enough to warrant purchasing these newly unveiled jerseys. However, again, just my opinion.
No one asked for these "Rivalries" uniforms. It's just another way to Nike-fy the NFL — and to expand the universe of jerseys fans will possibly buy.
