Indianapolis Colts veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen was arrested overnight for DUI, just hours after he made his on-field debut with the Colts and less than two weeks after he was signed in free agency.

According to an inmate search, Allen was arrested early Sunday morning on preliminary charges of DUI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more and DUI endangering a person. Both charges are misdemeanors.

At the time of writing, Allen is being held at the Marion County Jail.

"We are aware of the incident involving Keenan Allen last night," the Colts said in a statement provided to IndyStar. "We are in the process of gathring more information and hav no further comment at this time."

Allen took the field for the first time for the Colts Saturday afternoon in the team's preseason finale, where he played the first drive with the offense and caught a 24-yard pass from quarterback Anthony Richardson -- one of the team's longest plays of the day.

Sunday evening at 6 p.m. marks the NFL-wide deadline for the Colts to trim their roster from 90 players down to 53 ahead of preparation for the team's Week 1 contest against the Ravens. Two weeks ago, Allen signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the Colts worth as much as $8.32 million to join Indianapolis for the 2026 season.
