Pitt football is back on the field getting ready for the upcoming season.
Friday was only the team’s second day in pads. Coach Pat Narduzzi says he’s pleased with the work they’re getting in.
He says he’s looking for some players to step up and say “I’m the guy; I deserve to start.”
“I think there’s competition all over the place,“ Narduzzi said. ”I mean, I think corner, I think linebacker, I think safety. I think running back for sure. There’s a lot of guys there. And then that receiver spot, there’s still competition."
The Panthers open up the season on Sept. 5, hosting Miami of Ohio at Acrisure Stadium.
