The Dallas Cowboys have an injury to monitor after Saturday's preseason opener in Seattle.
Running back Phil Mafah was ruled out for the remainder of the team's meeting with the Seahawks after sustaining a chest injury. The Cowboys announced that Mafah was done for the night as the fourth quarter began at Lumen Field.
Mafah's night ended with four carries for nine yards. Mafah is one of several running backs vying for a role on Dallas' roster behind starter Javonte Williams. The Cowboys gave multiple running backs a look Saturday night, with Jaydon Blue getting eight carries and Malik Davis posting seven.
Mafah appeared in Dallas' regular-season finale last year after missing much of his rookie season with an injury.
